Ten Things Not To Do On Your Wedding Day

Wedding day: It's the day that every girl dreams of... the white dress and the bride that looks like a princess.. everyone is happy and everything goes on as planned for.. we want it special and we want it perfect.. we plan for everything and we try too hard to make it flawless. However, there are some tiny small things that we may not pay attention to, and that may ruin the most intimate day of our life.

Below are ten things that you must NOT do on your wedding day:

1- Don't do waxing on your wedding day! Waxing usually leaves your skin red and irritated for a couple of days. Therefore, if you wish to do waxing, it will better if you do it a couple of days before your wedding to get rid of the redness or any undesired spots

2- Don't drink too many liquids on your wedding day. This might sound like a silly advice but imagine going to rest room with your long heavy white wedding dress!!

3- The centre of attention of each wedding party is the definitely the bride... and more specifically her wedding dress. However, do not pick a dress only because it looks good on you. Make sure the dress you pick actually works for you. Do not pick a dress that does not fit even if it looks gorgeous. If your dress is strapless, make sure you got the right fitting; otherwise you will spend your whole wedding party hiking up your dress! It will appear on your video and will be criticized by everyone. Avoid dresses that are too long, unless you want every shoe in the wedding to step on it. Do not pick a dress that is too heavy, especially if you are a little woman. Remember that you will be wearing that dress for the whole night. If you don't feel comfortable with a dress, don't get it, even if it is the latest design.

4- Never underestimate what a comfortable pair of shoes can do for you on your wedding night. Don't pick a pair of shoes only because it looks elegant and matches your dress. If you plan to dance and enjoy your night, make sure you are wearing conformable shoes.

5- When picking your bridal flower bouquet, do not pick flowers that cause allergy. Go for allergy-free and pollen-free flowers. This way you will not only avoid sneezing, but will also avoid ending up with a pollen stain on your white dress. Flowers such as Goldenrod are well known for being rich with pollen. Consult your florist for the right advice

6- Do not let your hair and make up artist surprises you on your wedding day. No matter how much you trust your make up and hair stylist, do not let him decide how you will look on your wedding party. Inform your make up stylist how you want your hair style to be, and notify him about your preferable make up colours and shades. If possible, go for a free trial before your wedding day. The last thing you want on your wedding day is to show with hair style or make up that you hate.

7- Do not fake a smile for the camera. All brides try to show smiling in their pictures, and some worry that the camera may catch them not smiling on the big day! But faking a smile is not a solution. It will make you look phony and deprives you from your shine. Act spontaneously and you will be at your best.

8- Never invite someone that you do not like to your wedding. This is supposed to be your one special day where you are surrounded by those you love. There is nothing worse than looking around in your wedding day to see a face that you hate among the crowd. Invite someone you hate to your wedding party, and you will be giving him a life chance to ruin it! Knowing how important this might be for you, he may do anything to make it less perfect; stealing attention, getting drunk and making a scene or even criticizing you in front of your guests! Its simple: If you don't like someone, don't invite him!

9- Don't invite your ex to your wedding! You will feel uncomfortable knowing he is watching every single move you make. If you feel you need to invite your ex because maybe you are close friends now, make sure that you do not invite him alone.

10- Finally, don't get into argument with your groom in front of your guests. No matter what may happen between the both of you, your wedding party is not the right place to show it. You and your groom are the centre of attention and any act done by you will be noticed and remembered by your guests will remember forever. Curiosity will lead them to ask and to gossip. If you disagree on something, or if something wrong comes up, act as adults. Discuss it calmly or wait till party is over.

A Limousine For Your Wedding Day

Even from centuries, limousines have been considered a vehicle of the rich as well as famous. They were believed to have been first used during the early 18 century. Since then, they have been much popular among the affluent as well as celebrities.

A limousine, otherwise known as a limo, simply refers to a luxury car, automobile, or other vehicle with a capacity to seat more than 12 passengers. The word 'limousine' has been derived from Limousin - a French region. These cars mostly appear in black or white color, but now colors such as blue, magenta, and pink are also used for limos. Mostly, they are owned by large companies to carry executives to and fro airports as well as other important places.

In some instances, they are owned by governmental offices in order to transport top officials. These large cars are also owned by individuals. Further, limos have now become a trend among the celebrities, as they ride them to take part in red carpet events. Nowadays, limos are also widely used by rock stars and business tycoons as a symbol of status. To sum up, these cars have now become an epitome of glamour, style, and luxury.

These vehicles are available in a variety of forms such as traditional limousines, stretch limousines, stage limousines, and exotic custom limousines. Traditional limousines are perhaps the most popular among the different types of cars. This type of limo is mostly an extension of a typical four-door sedan, with the exception that it is attached with a host of innovative features. Stretch cars are chic and stand out from other limo categories.

In fact, they have now become a wave in the large car industry. A stretch limousine is a perfect choice to enliven special occasions such as weddings, anniversaries, prom nights, business meetings, birthdays, baccalaureate parties, and much more. In the case of stage limousines, they are designed in such a way that they share features of both a bus and a sedan.

One of the important features of this type of cars is that passengers can enter via multiple doors. These are primarily used when there is a large group of people traveling to particular locations such as a casino, wedding chapel, or a vacation destination. When comes to the exotic custom varieties, as the name suggests, they would be coupled with all sophisticated features that a customer is looking for.

A car of this genre is usually attached with a host of highly sophisticated features. One of the prime features of this vehicle is that it would be a long car with ample space as well as seats. Another prime feature of a limo is that it is mostly driven by a chauffeur. It provides ultimate in privacy, since there is a partition between the compartment of the passengers and the driver. The partition is a soundproof sliding glass window.

Additionally, as mentioned earlier, a car of this genus is typically black or white in color. Above all, a car of this type, in most cases, would be replete with a myriad of leading edge features such as:

- Plush leather seats
- Color TV
- CD / DVD Players
- Vanity Mirrors
- Glasses and Openers
- Mirrors
- Climate Control
- Intercom
- Window shading
- Refrigerator stocked with beverages
- Sun or moon roof
- Privacy Windows
- Ice Compartments

There are also certain varieties with stylish interior details, apart from high end amenities such as big screen Plasma TV, superb sound systems, smoke machine, lasers, and the latest in navigation technology. Mostly included in the limo 's fleet are cars such as Lincoln Navigator, which is perhaps the best in the market now; Hummer, which is noted for its unique style as well as elegance; Cadillac Escalade, whose highlights are avonite-topped bars, LCD TVs, starlight headliner, and high-end sound system; and Chrysler 300, with superb design as well as style.

Nowadays, as mentioned earlier, limos have become a status of symbol, and have become an important segment of important events such as weddings, evening or night outs, airport transfers, casino trips, wine tours, anniversaries, business meetings, birthdays, baccalaureate parties, and prom nights.

Things You Need To Do In The Final Week Before Your Wedding Day

It 's seven days (or less) before the big day. You likely have a host of last-minute details that need to be attended to. It 's going to be a very busy week but do try to schedule some "me" time as well. Now is the time to enlist the help of family and friends to help you finalize your arrangements. Confirm your travel arrangements for your honeymoon, give the caterer a final head count of guests, go over your arrangements with the following: photographer, band or DJ, and limousine company. The reservations for the rehearsal dinner need to be confirmed at this point.

The time to pack your bag for your honeymoon is early in the week before the wedding. Later on, and especially the day of the ceremony, you will be far too busy to attend to this. By the same token, take the time to confirm all your travel arrangements(including accommodation and method of transportation) and get your travel documents in order (if required).

The caterer you have chosen will require a final head count in order to prepare meals for your guests. Instead of assuming that those people who have not yet responded to your invitation are not coming to the wedding, have someone contact them to clarify whether or not they will be attending. This will eliminate the awkwardness of having additional guests to feed. You might also want to ask whether the caterer prepares a certain number of "extra" meals above the head count they are given.

You will also need to go over arrangements with your photographer, DJ or band members, and the limousine company if you have hired one. Go over what your expectations are for the day of the wedding and to confirm the schedule for the day 's events. If there is a balance owing for any of these services, now is a good time to arrange payment of the same. In the event that you do not feel comfortable paying the balance in full before the wedding, let the service providers know that they will be paid on the wedding day and who will be responsible for delivering the balance to them. Be sure to ask the service providers what payment methods they accept so that you can prepare a separate envelope for each of them.

As the rehearsal dinner is generally held the night before the wedding, it is important to contact the venue for the dinner to confirm the date and time, as well as to let them know the number of people attending. Many couples take this opportunity to thank their parents and the members of the wedding party for all their help and support during engagement period. Take some time to plan what you would like to convey to these very important people in your life. It 's not always easy to express your appreciation to those who matter the most write a few notes to refer to, if you think it would be helpful. The last thing you want to do is to leave someone out.

It seems like there are a million and one details that need to be attended to during this time, but do schedule some time for you to do something you feel is relaxing. Get a massage, go to a movie, or take a walk or a drive, or go the gym. The important thing is to take a step back and do something for you. The last thing you want on your wedding day is to have a bridal meltdown.

In short, get organized and deal with the last-minute items that need to be confirmed before the big day. Don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it. Once you get the details confirmed, you can then step back, relax, and enjoy your special day.

Little Known Ways To Involve The Father Of The Bride In Your Wedding

The wedding day is no doubt a lot of excitement for female attendants and with dress fittings and hair and beauty appointments, it can be easy for fathers to feel left out in the build up to the wedding. While the father of the bride has traditionally taken a back seat in the planning, this is no longer the case. The role of the father of the bride has changed somewhat in recent years and more and more fathers are adopting a more hands on approach. You will probably find that the father of the bride is more than happy to get stuck in and help out with the wedding. Here are some useful ideas to get the most out of Dad:

Experienced Advice

Fathers have more often than not been through the process of getting married and their experience in this field should not be underestimated. While their wedding will have no doubt been quite different from the one you envisage, fathers can still offer advice on almost all aspects of the wedding planning, from money and budgeting, music and food. And while you may want to leave decisions on color schemes and decorations to the ladies in your wedding party (as they are usually the more stylish), an opinion from a guy can help remember their will be men present at the wedding too and you will definitely want to tie the knot in and environment that the groom feels comfortable in.

Business and Organization

Dads are often great when it comes to organizing more major details, leaving you to get busy with the finer details that will add the finishing touches to your big day. One great way to get the father of the bride involved is to have him do background checks and reviews on locations and vendors you are considering. Why not give him a list of possible businesses you are considering using and ask him to check out their history, reputation and cost. He should be able to come up with a list of pros and cons for each vendor. This should help you to create a shortlist before you approach the vendor yourself, saving you precious time in the wedding planning process. On top of this the father of the bride can always take on the more menial tasks such as sealing invitations in envelopes.

The father of the bride can also be a great logistical coordinator, and is often a dab hand at making sure guests get directions to and from ceremony and reception venues. Even if you father is not the most organized, he will more than likely come through for you on the big day.

Crisis management

If the unthinkable happens and something does go wrong close to your wedding day, you will no doubt be able to rely on Dad to help out. Whether its shouting down the phone at florists and caterers who have messed up your order, or helping out with a few unexpected expenses, any assistance the father of the bride should hopefully remove a bit of the burden off the bride 's shoulders and make her time a little less stressful.

One of the major and often a common role of the father of the bride is to try to calm any pre-wedding jitters or cold feet, providing emotional support for their daughter.

The father of the bride can take on a variety of roles and should be encouraged to join in with the wedding planning wherever possible.

Do You Know How to Choose a Venue for Your Wedding?

When you decide to get married, the first thing you have to think about is certainly the wedding day. In fact, you cannot just think of a date and set it as the wedding day. You have to check the availability of venues. It will be a pity if you would like to book a venue and it has been booked by the others on your wedding day. To this end you need to have a rough idea about your venue for your wedding ceremony or reception.

The very first thing you need to consider is the size of the wedding venue. Some may have a perception that a bigger venue will be more perfect. However, it is not true in the real world. A bigger venue usually means a higher budget. Even if the budget is not something essential to you, there is no point to have a venue which can accommodate 300 guests if you only plan to invite 100 guests.

As a result the size of the wedding venue should be determined by the number of guests you are planning to invite. It would do no harm to you if you book a venue which can accommodate 130 guests while you are planning for inviting 100 guests only. A buffer is always good since you may change your mind to invite some more guests when you are planning for your wedding. It should not be difficult to gather information on how many guests a wedding venue can accommodate. You can just ask this information from the management department of the venues.

Besides of the size of the venue, you may also need to think about the type of wedding venue you would like to book. The ambiance of a wedding venue is different from venue to venue. A church will be perfect in most cases. In some other cases you may want to book a ballroom or hall in a hotel for your wedding. However, if you want something more unique and interesting, there are still some other choices.

A wedding on a train is one of the examples. A wedding during a train travel can be a very romantic one. And this may probably impress the guests very much. There are wedding planning companies which can organize wedding on a train adventure.

What is interesting about a wedding in a train journey is that you can have beautiful scene along the journey. You and your guest can enjoy your wedding and at the same time enjoy the scenery along the journey. You may also take this journey again in your anniversaries which can be quite a romantic experience. Some places that you can have your wedding on a train are California, Maui and Arizona.

If you would like an outdoor wedding, a very popular choice will be a beach wedding. It is interesting that a beach wedding can be less formal. This will probably suit a couple who does not want an extremely formal wedding. Guests can walk on the beach with their bare foot. Even the wedding dress and gown can be less formal.

Similar to a wedding on a train, your guests can enjoy the beautiful scenery on the beach. And it will be even more perfect if your wedding is taken place on a sunny day. The blue sky and water, with some birds, will form a romantic and beautiful background for your wedding.

Another issue you need to consider is the restrictions from the venue. You may have a dream venue in your mind. You may dream of a wedding venue full of fresh flowers. You may also like an open flame for your wedding. Some venue will not allow you to do these. You should ask the venue what you can do and what you cannot since the restrictions vary from venue to venue.

One last point you need to think about, and maybe the most important one, is the extra fees you may need to pay for. Some venues may charge you an extra if you bring your own liquor to the venue. Some venues may even have a cake cutting fee. Again, you should ask for all this beforehand so that you will not need to pay for something you do not need to pay for originally.

Choosing a Make-up Artist for Your Wedding Day

Planning a wedding can be exhausting. Everything from the church to the food at the reception needs to be accounted for. As the bride, you have quite a bit on your plate. You need to find a dress, pick out your wedding party and their dresses, and make hair, nail, and makeup appointments. With everything else on your list of “to dos,” choosing a makeup artist often falls at the bottom. Unfortunately, many woman wait till the last min and just pick one out of convenience. If this doesn't sound like a big deal, think again. The makeup artist is in charge of perfecting your bridal beauty preparing you for your big day and all the pictures. Use these tips to help find the perfect makeup artist to fit your needs.

  • They Should Listen: Sure, they are the experts but the fact of the matter is that it's your wedding therefore, if you want to wear green mascara and purple lipstick thats your prerogative and their job to make sure it looks the best it possibly could. When you begin your search for a wedding day makeup artist tell them what your looking for and see how they respond. If they aren't thrilled with what you want and demand the upper hand, look for someone who understands your style.

  • Look at Previous Work: Previous work is one of the best ways to gage a makeup artist's talent. Most will have a portfolio with pictures of past clients. Ask for a portfolio and flip through it. If you're less than thrilled or don't like their style keep searching for someone who meets your standards.

  • Bring Pictures: It's highly likely you have been flipping through wedding magazine to help you find out what you want on your wedding day and that include what you want your makeup to look like. If you find a particular style, color, or look that you absolutely love, cut the picture out and bring it with you. Your makeup artist will thank you for the example and you'll find it much easier to get what you want when you come prepared with a visual.

  • Nothing but the Best: Your paying to have your makeup done professionally and therefore should expect professional makeup or at least that of good quality. You want to make sure your lipstick doesn't go become your husband's after the first kiss and that your mascara makes it through your tears of joy. Ask your makeup artist about the products they use on their clients.

  • Insist on a Dry Run Appointment: Weddings take a great deal of practice and planning and that includes your appearance. You probably looked at tons of dresses, flowers, and cakes before you made a decision. Likewise you will or at least should have your hair done before the wedding day; you will try your dress on; and you will rehearse the day before. Make sure the makeup artist you choose will set up prior appointment to figure out what will look best. The last thing you want to do is go in blindly the day of your wedding and come out with makeup you hate.

  • Let Them Know If You Don't Like It: Having your makeup done professionally is one way to be sure you look your best on your wedding day. Since you are paying to have it done you have every right to like the way you look. If you don't like the way your eyes came out or aren't a fan of that particular shade of lipstick, let the makeup artist know. This is your big day and you should be one hundred percent satisfied with the way you look after you leave their chair.

How to camouflage Figure Flaws before your wedding day .

How to camouflage Figure Flaws before your wedding day .

Petite figures

Are lengthened in controlled – but – full skirts with minimal details. Basque waistlines, simple sleeves, modestly detailed shoulders, vertical pleating, and A-line or princess silhouettes elongate the torso and add height. For slim petites, the sheath or mermaid style is ideal.

Full Figures

Look best in V-neck bodices and dropped –V waistlines. Full skirts camouflage hips and tights and shoulders pads make waist look smaller. Styling around the neckline draw the eye up. Long sleeves tapering toward the wrist slenderize arms; avoid strapless or sleeveless gowns that only emphasize fullness . Opt for dresses where the fabrics drapes gracefully to the floor instead of ones that are form – fitting or body – hugging .

Minimize a thick waist

With an empire waistline. Princess style dresses elongate a short waist and lengthen the torso. To slim heavy hips try a full- but-controlled shirt without bows, flounces, or ruffles.

A full bust

Is flatted in an off- the shoulder portrait or V- neckline with minimal detailing. Small busts look larger when accentuated with intricate details and on-the shoulder necklines.

Plesae remember that the wedding dress you choose will depend on the formality and style of the wedding itself. Will it be traditional and formal? Contemporary or less formal? It’s helpful to have decided on that before you buy the wedding dress. But if you want to wear an ornately elegant wedding dress to your semiformal do, go right ahead! Shine Bright On Your Wedding Day

Your wedding day will be one of the most memorable in your life - so you'll want to make sure it shines to perfection. But while venue décor and ceremonial intricacies are important, all eyes will undoubtedly be on you. So for your wedding day, ensure you appear with as much brilliance as ever: wear a wedding gown and jewellery that reflect you and your special day. But first, adopt your ideal wedding style.

Planning your wedding will require you to make countless decisions - from flower and music arrangements to your reception venue selection. However, one of the biggest decisions you can make - after saying 'yes', of course - is on the style of your wedding. Your chosen wedding style will determine almost everything about the event, from where it's held to the size of your guest list - so it's important that you give it significant thought. Moreover, the style of a wedding often says a lot about a bride and a groom - so it's your chance to really make the day yours.

Once you've chosen a wedding style, you can begin making major selections - like your wedding gown and jewellery. A number of current trends in bridal jewellery - both classic and contemporary - are adorning brides everywhere. And depending on the chosen style of your wedding, you can find the perfect pieces to enhance your wedding gown. If you're going for the classic look, for instance, why not wear a string of pearls or a classic diamond tennis braceket? Antique-styled wedding jewellery or family heirloom pieces are also an ideal accompaniment to classic wedding gowns.

However, if you've chosen a more contemporary-styled wedding, art-deco jewellery with long, thin lines, or palladium jewellery - a rare silver white metal of the platinum group used in jewellery - will suit you perfectly. Alternatively, choose dramatic jewellery if an organic theme is more your style, dramatic jewellery - such as cascading pendants with two or more linked stones - is sure to compliment you to no end.

But you'll also want to make sure you choose your wedding jewellery according to your personal attributes. If you have a long, slender neck, for instance, dangling chandelier earrings might suit you best. However, if your neckline is shorter or you plan to wear your hair down for the big day, petite pearl or diamond earrings are likely to be more flattering.

If you're searching for wedding jewellery to compliment you and your wedding style, you'll find a number of jewellery specialists to accommodate you. Even if you're just beginning your search for that all-important wedding piece - a diamond engagement ring, for instance - you'll find a number of styles to choose from - from cushion cut diamonds to surround solitaire diamonds. So, by wearing wedding jewellery that reflects you and your adopted wedding style, you’ll be sure to shine on your big day!

Don't Hurt Your Feet on Your Wedding Day!

Oh Bridal Shoes, How High Art Thou?

When I got married, I purposely chose a pair of 1.5 inch heels because my husband isn't that much *ahem* taller than me. If he was taller, I would gladly wear at least 3 inch heels.

Anybody who thinks 1.5" heel is sexier than 3" heels is crazy.

At the end of the night, though, I stroked my bridal sandals lovingly and was glad that I wore them. Even at very low heels, my feet were killing me. I could barely walk and was stiff all over my body. I was actually thinking about getting a full body massage that day because I really needed it.

Each woman has her own comfortable heel height. For me, it is 2". Other women may be comfortable with 3 or even 4 inches. After studying the effect of walking all day on high heels, I come up with these suggestions on how to wear high bridal shoes comfortably on your wedding day:

- If you're wearing high heels (more than 2" tall), choose the pair with heel or ankle straps, or both. The straps give the shoes more secure footing, which would allow you more comfort as well.
- Choose bridal shoes with wide front band because it holds your feet in and therefore gives more support.
- Add foam rubber or foot petals on the base of the shoes for more comfort.
- Bring a pair of white rubber sandals to change into whenever you have a chance to, for example, during a break on photo sessions. Give your feet a chance to relax.
- Don't wear higher heels that what you're accustomed to. For example, if you're used to 4" heels for every day wear, go down an inch. Wear 3" heels because you will be walking all day and you will get tired. Trust me.

First and foremost you must write 10 goals that you hope
to have achieved by the time your wedding arrives.

Remember to make them aspirational as well as realistic.

You should include things like:- losing weight, remembering to moisturise your skin,
cut out sugary snacks, cut out the booze for a bit etc.

Make a few copies of these goals and dot them around the house. Ensure you put a copy on the fridge or on the biscuit cupboard. Then, when you are feeling like eating a naughty snack, you can see your goals which may stop you from having an unnecessary munch!

So, how can you tone up for the big day? Your choice of diet is dependant on your size, frame, type of job etc.

You need to choose something that is right for you – a diet that you can easily manage along with all the wedding planning.

The best diets are the easy ones so bear this in mind. Usually, the simple art of eating more fresh fruit and vegetables, reducing fats, dairy produce and red meats and replacing them with whole grains and pulses is a good place to start.

In addition to your new diet, you must ensure that you drink at least 8 glasses of water each day. This will leave you feeling cleansed, keep your skin hydrating and make you feel a million dollars in time for the wedding. Drinking plenty of water also helps flush toxins out of the body.

Next you need to think about exercise. If you like walking then try to go for a walk every day. Alternatively, enrol at the gym or join an excercise class once a week. If you do something you enjoy, you are more likely to stick at it.

When it comes to your skin, invest in some good quality cleansing products. Make every effort to remove make-up each evening and try to exfoliate once a week. This will allow new skin to grow and dead skin cells to be removed. Healthy eating, drinking plenty of water and getting exercise will all help with the quality of your skin too.
Remember that you need to look at changing yourself slowly. Whether you are starting a new exercise regime or a diet [or both!] you need to give yourself 6 – 12 months to reach your goal. Crash diets and sudden weight loss often make you feel lethargic and tired as well as leave your skin feeling dry.

Just picture yourself on the big day that everything you are doing now is for the bride!

If you want the weight to stay off for your honeymoon, you need to think long term. Equally, if you want to continue into married life with glowing skin and healthy nails, you need to keep up the water and fresh foods.

Planning a Budget for Your Wedding Day

Recently, my sister got married. The day was absolutely incredible; many memories were made by all. But being the sister and the Maid of Honor, I saw many of the bumps in the road of creating the day that my sister had always dreamed of. Planning a wedding can be, and most likely, will be the most fun and the most frustrating experience you will ever have all wrapped up into one.

Weddings can get very expensive, very quickly. Although there are many ways to cut costs, it is important to figure out a budget prior to getting started so that things don’t spiral out of control and cause any unnecessary stress during the planning stages.

Make a list of EVERYTHING that you feel is important for your big day. This detailed list will feature everything from your dress, drinks at the reception, officiant and chapel fees, decorations, flowers, gifts, rings, catering… You get the point; all the ‘wedding bells’ and whistles should be included.

Sit down with everyone that is going to help you financially and review the list, i.e.: you and your fiance, your parents, his parents and any grandparents or friends of the family that may be contributing. (Please note: use your discretion when you decide whether or not to gather all of these people together at once to discuss finances, you know best if this could potentially cause any unnecessary arguments. If you need to, meet with them separately to keep the peace.)

Next to each item on the list mark who is responsible for each item, keeping in mind that they will probably have a limit to what they are able to give to you. It will help to make a separate page with a breakdown of each party, the amount that they can contribute, and below, a list of all of the things that they would like to offer to you and your fiance.

Now it’s time to start to make phone calls. I’m sure that if you are of the age to be married, you have a few places in mind where you’d like to hold your event. Call them and get some ideas of deposit requirements and balances they will require. Call florists, officiants, churches, photographers, and do a lot of research on the internet to find the best prices and make sure that you pay attention to feedback in chat rooms or forum pages. Friends that have been married and people that have had experience with wedding planning are great resources that may help you save money and find the people that will make your day memorable.

Once you have some ideas on prices you can plug in the balances to your sheet and get a better idea of what items you can keep and where you need to cut back. You may need your mother or a bridesmaid to help you with this because you might find it difficult to rate the importance of the things on your list. Just keep in mind that if you are married to the person that you wish to spend the rest of your life with at the end of the day, your mission has been accomplished, the rest is mere details.

At this point you can start to book dates and facilities, try on dresses, and meet with florists or photographers. Throughout your planning, refer to your budget constantly. This will help you stick to your plan and relieve some of the stress while planning your dream wedding. Most importantly, have fun, this is your day, enjoy it.

How to be romantic on your wedding day

Organizing your wedding should be the most romantic occasion of your lives. But – let’s face it – the wedding guests seem to get more attention paid to them than the bride and groom themselves. Hours are spent on who will sit where, what the guests will eat, evening entertainment, writing endless invitations and paying through the nose for the most exquisite venues. This is without mention of the happy couple spending most of their wedding day checking that everyone else is having a great time! This is not to say that good wedding etiquette should be forgotten, but it seems sad that the bride and groom themselves don’t get much of the action.

So, how can you be romantic on your wedding day? Well, the best place to start is before the wedding itself. Despite all the stress of wedding planning, make time for each other and do little romantic things each week. You could put 10 notes around the house each with a different reason why you love your partner. Or you could fill the bath with red rose petals and line up romantic candles around it. As you are staring onto space whilst at work, daydreaming about your wedding day, send your partner a string of short emails. Tell them how much you are looking forward to your big day and how you can’t wait to be his wife.

On the actual wedding day, you could start being romantic by giving your fiancé a special present and a card. Let him open it on the morning of your wedding day. As much as finances will allow, buy something a little bit special that he can keep and treasure for always.

If you are not spending the wedding morning together [and tradition states that you shouldn’t be together] then make sure his favourite cereal/croissant or fruit juice is well stocked up in the cupboard. You can leave him a note to tell him it’s there or ask your best man to tell him. This is not only a romantic gesture but a great way of ensuring he has had something to eat!

If possible, arrive at your wedding destination in a certain way so that your fiancé sees you first. Allow him to have a few moments taking in the vision of his beautiful wife-to-be. Exchange a knowing glance with each other that only you two can see.

Look into each other’s eyes when you say your vows. It may sound like an obvious one, but it so important to really focus on each other when saying your vows. Make it really clear to your husband that you love him and are making your vows from the bottom of your heart.

Have a romantic kiss when you are pronounced husband and wife. You don’t have to go too mad, but a peck on the cheek does not really do the job at this highly romantic part of the wedding. So, make the most of it and indulge in a lingering kiss as a married couple.

Arrange to have a special message delivered to your reception to say ‘Thank You’ to your new husband. This could be in the form of his favourite tipple, a bottle of champagne or even some balloons. Despite this sounding cringe worthy, it will be really well received.

Invest in some pretty underwear for your wedding night. This one speaks for itself. Take the time to choose something different and special so that he will be bowled over when you reach your honeymoon suite.

Remember, that your wedding day is just the start of your marriage that you want to last for a lifetime. Being romantic and making each other feel valued will need to be part of your lives, so don’t just save it for special occasions. Make every day in your marriage a romantic one and you are guaranteed to have a happy, long and fulfilling marriage.

Wedding Fireworks – A great idea to make your wedding day end in a bang

Wedding Fireworks - A great idea to make your wedding day end with a bang

If you're looking for a memorable and spectacular way to end your special wedding day, consider giving wedding fireworks a try. Wedding fireworks are gaining in popularity as more and more couples are looking for that extra "pizzazz" for creating an unforgettable wedding experience, not only for themselves but also for their family, friends and other guests. Fireworks are a fun and snazzy addition to any kind of celebration, and having wedding fireworks can give your wedding that something extra.

When thinking about using fireworks at your wedding, there are several different considerations to take into account. First of all, having wedding fireworks may not be allowed at the venue you choose, and you'll need to check with them first. Even if they do allow wedding fireworks, there will likely be some regulations and restrictions you'll need to follow. For example, some places will require the use of a professional fireworks company. In addition, if you're interested in having a larger display, you'll need sufficient space. Regardless of who is setting off the fireworks, by law you need to have at least a 25-meter safety distance between the fireworks and the guests.

Secondly, you'll need to consider how you want to use wedding fireworks and how you want them to be done. Some couples prefer big, fancy and creative displays; others would rather have a shorter and simpler presentation. In addition, some couples choose to use the services of an actual fireworks company and go with one of their special wedding packages. This is a great option if you have the extra money, and want a professional, beautiful and hassle-free wedding fireworks experience. Professional companies can also fire off special fireworks prohibited by public use for those extra special effects. As well, they often do "lance work" or fire writing, which involves writing words, symbols or initials in fireworks-such as the couple's initials with a heart in between them. One professional company that offers Wedding Fireworks Displays throughout the UK is Pyromania Displays.

Other couples who are interested in wedding fireworks decide to go with a do-it-yourself approach, finding their own fireworks and learning how to use them correctly and safely. This method is generally much cheaper. In this case, however, you need to take special care that you allow yourself enough time for setup and organization. To help, you can purchase a sturdy, easy-to-set-up display box, which contains fireworks that produce two to three-minute shows with only one fuse to light.

Tying into the decision on how to use wedding fireworks is the consideration of budget. Some stores carrying fireworks and fireworks companies are more expensive, others are much more reasonably priced. If you have a large enough budget set aside for extras, then you have more possibilities. But even if your budget is more limited, you still have options if you take the time to shop around and do some research. However, overall, having wedding fireworks is becoming more and more affordable.

Safety is another issue when considering wedding fireworks, especially if you decide to purchase them yourself. Fireworks are potentially dangerous and if not used properly can cause serious burn and eye injuries. Make sure the adults operating them are sober and that the guests are out of range. Also, it's critical to read and follow the instructions completely and accurately-including all warnings-before using wedding fireworks, and keep several buckets of water nearby in case of a glitch, an accident or even a small fire.

However you decide to use wedding fireworks, if they are used correctly, appropriately and safely, they can create a dazzling effect and really impress your guests, not to mention that fireworks can give a phenomenal finale to an already special day.

Wedding Planning for Brides: 5 Leasing Options For Your Wedding Day

Back in the days, renting a wedding gown for that special day seemed completely absurd and out-of-question! Now the gown rental trend is not only fully accepted, but in full swing and widespread among bridal shops across the country. Brides are simply looking at the practicality of a cost effective way to have that luxurious wedding of their girlish childhood dreams. And what’s wrong with renting instead of buying? In some cases, leasing can be one-third the price of buying.
Taking a cue from the growing acceptance of gown rental, other services are emerging that provide brides options for perfecting their “look” for their wedding day.

One of the newest and innovative leasing options for weddings is bridal jewelry leasing. This popular trend of leasing genuine, authentic jewelry at a fraction of the price is picking up steam with brides and their attendants. Brides, who appreciate fine jewelry and are searching for an elegant alternative to costume jewelry, are finding the affordable option of leasing their wedding jewelry to be a perfect solution. Like Hollywood celebrities, they get the beauty of a glamorous piece of jewelry around their neck or wrist for their special day without the expense. With the Internet at their fingertips, working with web-based companies like Adorn Brides is a convenient way to add some bling to their wedding day.

While renting or leasing wedding gowns and jewelry are very intimate items for brides to lease, there are many other accoutrements that brides may rent to add the perfect touch to their special day. Here are 4 other wedding rental options to consider for that special day:

1. Wedding Limousine Service

You can’t forget the limousine. Renting a limousine service for your wedding day can not only be a wonderful way to travel on your special day, but a great convenience to planning the travel arrangements for everyone involved in the wedding party. Depending on the size of your wedding party, more than one limousine may be necessary.

2. Wedding Facility in a Spectacular Location

So many couples go with the usual wedding facility - from the local church hall to the upscale country club ballroom. Why not rent your facility in a vacation spot for all your guests to enjoy a vacation in a beautiful or exotic place? Lake Tahoe is often referred to as the perfect year round vacation and wedding destination with terrific weather and breathtaking scenery. And if that doesn’t work, why not a unique facility like a local botanical garden, city owned mansion, a lighthouse or historical castle that rents for weddings. The wedding can even be arranged at the place where the couple had their first date - a vineyard, a park, the beach or even the zoo!

3. Wedding Arch or Chuppah

Many couples deciding on outdoor weddings will rent the wedding arch or chuppah to accessorize their “altar” area. The wedding arch or chuppah canopy can be decorated with flowers, plants or balloons that match the floral and color theme of the wedding. The arches come in a variety of shapes and sizes - lattice, brass, heart shaped, round, square - and even gazebos to rent for the outside wedding “altar”. The decorations and accessories to the arch or Chuppah are many. Beach weddings can also rent torches leading up to the arch - creating an “aisle”, garden weddings can rent railing structures that can be configured many ways around the wedding arch to make room for a whole wedding party.

4. Unique Dome Tents

Why not become the talk-of-your-town by thinking outside the “box” tent and renting a unique “dome” tent for the wedding? These futuristic structures are an all-in-one facility for that special day. >From design concept and planning to setup and teardown, dome tent renters are available to work out all the details to pulling off the perfect wedding. Dome decorations can be spectacular and most dome tents provide built in media projection screens with natural acoustics, will coordinate in-house music, lighting and interior design to your specifications.

Besides the usual tuxedo, table linens and chair covers, these are just a few more innovative wedding rental options to considering when planning your special day.

Fitness Tips For Looking Your Best On Your Wedding Day

by: Lynn Bode

Every bride wants to look perfect on her wedding day. Selecting a dress that will make you look and feel great is an important first step. But what happens when you look in the mirror and don't think you look quite as good as you could? When this happens it’s not uncommon for brides to try quick-fix diets to help them get in shape. Unfortunately, many dieting brides make fitness mistakes that not only prevent them from reaching their goals but also cause unnecessary stress and sometimes even illness. Those are two things no bride needs! Here are five of the most common diet mistakes as well as some tips to help you avoid them.

1. Too much, too late.

One of the most important things to remember if you are trying to lose weight is to start early. For example, don’t try to lose 20 pounds two months before the big day. The key is to plan ahead so that you can lose the weight (or just tone up) gradually. So if you’re dream-wedding day includes you being in great shape, then include fitness as a “to-do” on your overall wedding checklist. That way it will be a priority in your wedding planning.

2. Setting unachievable goals.

Many women get engaged and begin imagining themselves drastically thinner or more sculpted. Be realistic with yourself. If you’ve never been a size 6 in your life, then it is probably unrealistic to think you can magically transform just because you are getting married. And, do you really want to look so different on your wedding day that most people (including your fiancé) hardly recognize you?

3. Radical diets or fitness programs.

Brides typically are short on time and long on to-do lists. This leads many to try unhealthy fitness programs or starvation diets. Don’t be tempted by diets that promise quick, drastic results with little effort from you. You should avoid any programs that suggest taking “diet” pills or eating unbalanced meals (like eating only cabbage soup for a week). And, don’t be lured into trying dangerous things, like laxatives.

4. Not exercising.

It’s very easy for brides to say “I don’t have time to exercise” or “I’m too tired to exercise”. But diet and exercise should always go hand in hand. Consider them to be like yin and yang. Without activity your body can’t burn as many calories. If you are very short on time, try to exercise in small 10-minute bursts throughout the day. And, keep in mind that little things help too, like taking the stairs or parking at the outer edge of the mall parking lot. Plus, if you are tired from all of your planning, exercise will help give you back some energy.

5. Skipping Meals

It’s not uncommon to get caught up in your planning and then realize at 9 p.m. (as your head begins to ache) that you haven’t eaten a thing all day. While it may not be an uncommon scenario, it is unavoidable. Not only is skipping meals unhealthy, it can lead to binge eating. That often means eating very fattening foods and/or overeating all at once. To avoid this, try packing light snacks to keep on hand throughout the day. Good examples include carrot sticks, cheese strings, peanut butter on crackers, etc.

Getting in shape doesn’t have to be complicated and it doesn’t require a lot of time. If you are trying to lose weight or firm up before your wedding, below are some sample plans to help you get started. Keep in mind that the most important thing is for a bride to feel good about herself. And no matter what size or shape, all brides are beautiful on their wedding day!

Sample Exercise FITscription:
20 – 30 minutes of cardiovascular exercise (3 – 5 time per week)
Example: 2-5 minutes of brisk walking, 2-5 minutes of jumping jacks (repeat for 20 – 30 minutes)

Sample Meal Plan:
Eat 5-7 small meals per day (meals should include protein, grains, vegetables, etc. to meet the food pyramid daily requirements)
Example: Small, grilled, skinless chicken breast
Slice of whole wheat bread
Slice of cheese
Mixed Vegetables
Glass of Water (2 or 3 would be even better)

How to Choose a Pearl Necklace for Your Wedding Day

by: Yan Berry

The elegant beauty of a strand of pearls has fascinated brides for centuries. People believe that wearing pearls on their wedding day will bring bliss to their marriage.

Pearls are classic wedding jewelry. How do you choose that perfect pearl necklace?

Here are some tips:

There are four types of pearls: Akoya, Tahitian, South Sea, and freshwater. Akoya, Tahitian and South Sea pearls grow in oceans. They are more valuable than freshwater pearls for their rarity and high luster.

Akoya pearls are the most popular. These pearls are valued for their rich color, mirrorlike finish, and appealing roundness.

As with any other gemstones, the value of pearls is determined by their quality.

A pearl’s quality can be A, AA, AA+, AAA, AAA+. The last two, AAA and AAA+ pearls, have the best quality and they are most valuable. For pearls of the same size, an ‘A’ quality pearl necklace costs only a small fraction of AAA quality pearl necklace. [

The quality and value of pearls are based upon six criteria: luster, nacre, surface, color, shape, size and matching. The educated buyer uses his or her preferences to decide which criteria are most important.

Nacre: Most buyers of pearl jewelry pay most attention to the pearls' nacre thickness. Nacre is the coating that a pearl oyster produces to cover the pearl’s nucleus; it is the key to how long pearls last. You should look for pearls with nacre thickness over 0.4mm.

Luster and Surface: Luster is the amount of light reflected from the pearl's surface. A strand of pearls with high luster, mirror finish and clean surfaces is most desirable and valuable.

Color: It is a personal choice. Consider buying a pearl necklace whose color will complement your clothing and your skin tone.

Size: The price of pearls that are larger than 7mm varies greatly. People usually buy the largest pearls they can afford.

Shape: Round pearls are most desirable and valuable.

Matching: For a pearl necklace or bracelet, matching refers to the ways in which all of the pearls are similar. It is difficult to find enough identical pearls to make a well-matched pearl necklace; therefore such a necklace commands a top price.

After you have decided the type, color, size and quality of pearls that you want, think about your budget. Take your time to shop around and find that perfect pearl necklace for your wedding day!

How To Look Great On Your Wedding Day

by: Melanie Mendelson

Looking great on your wedding day means being radiant, relaxed, and ready to start a brand new existence with the person whom you've chosen to spend your life with. Your hair, nails, makeup, dress – and how you look in that dress – are all part of becoming the bride you want to be on that special day. Since pictures taken on that day remain part of your life forever, it's important to look and feel your best.

Your dress is one of the most important items in your wedding plans, so make sure you take enough time to choose one that suits you – not your best friend, not your bridesmaids, and not your mother. For the day of your wedding, you'll want a dress in which you can stand, walk and dance in without worrying about "wardrobe malfunctions" or causing you discomfort. Allow necessary time if you decide on having the dress made, but even if bought "off the rack," you'll need to factor in time for tailoring and any adjustments.

You don't want to overpower your dress and headpiece with a flamboyant hair style or color that overwhelms everything else. Keep it simple and classic, and remember to practice the look you want at home or with your stylist before the wedding day.

Have your nails professionally manicured the day before the wedding. This is one thing you don't want to do far in advance. Reduce the chances of a broken nail, chipped polish, or if using applied nails, one coming off, by having your manicure as late as possible. If you are not inclined toward colored polishes or long fingernails, make sure they are neatly trimmed, filed, polished, and buffed. Your hands will be a focus of attention when showing off that new wedding ring and for photos!

Makeup is the last thing you'll need to worry over, and that comes on the big day, itself. Don't try to transform yourself into a different person with dramatic eye makeup or garish lipstick. Make the real you look better!

Use a slightly heavier hand than with your usual daytime makeup so your photos won't have you appearing washed-out looking, but don't overdo it. And if your wedding is at night, with more subtle lighting, apply makeup as though you were going to a club or restaurant at night – a little heavier than daytime, but not much! Avoid deep red lipstick as well as too-pale pink. Frosted eyeshadows or lipsticks are definite no-nos.

Buy fresh mascara to avoid clumping. Also, if you have sensitive skin, this is NOT the time to try a new brand. The last thing you want to do is head for the altar with blotches or zits thanks to an allergic reaction.

The night before your wedding is not the time for partying so get eight hours of restful sleep. If you're having a rehearsal dinner, or a bachelorette bash, make sure that it ends early. Drink moderately or, better yet, not at all. Bloodshot eyes and a banging hangover will not make for a fun wedding.

Don't gourge yourself the night before because we all know that there are strange forces at work which will try to make your wedding gown just a wee bit snug in the morning. To overcome excitement and nerves, try taking a long walk - it can help with pre-nuptial jitters. A relaxing bath with soothing background music, a cup of herbal tea, and you should be ready to doze off with images of a happy future marriage in your dreams.

With these tips, you're sure to have the perfect wedding day. May this day be the beginning of a lifetime of joy and happiness!

Essential Advice for Your Wedding Day

by: Keith Kingston

You've been engaged for months, you've made it through planning the ceremony, the attire, the reception, the honeymoon, and you haven't killed each other yet. The worst is over. When you wake up on the morning of your wedding day, your only job is to go along for the ride, enjoy every moment and make some memories. Read on for essential advice for your wedding day.

Both of you have been waiting and planning for a long time in order to make this day go off without a hitch. Just be aware that things NEVER go as planned, so expect the unexpected and don't get too worked up about it. It is the unexpected events that make the best stories for years to come. Relax, and have a good time. This is your day to celebrate your blissful union.

For her:

The day of the wedding is often more stressful for the bride than any of the planning process has been. Start your morning off with a relaxing bubble bath or a massage at the spa. You deserve to start this hectic day as cool and relaxed as you possibly can be. Do it alone if you need some private time (since you will be surrounded by people ogling and vying for your attention for the remainder of the day), or if you are nervous and need to chat, invite the bridesmaids along for some pre-wedding pampering.

Have all appointments made ahead of time, and allow plenty of time for hair-dos, make-up, manicures, etc. Have a close friend who is not part of the wedding party act as your gopher for the day. If you get a run in your pantyhose, they'll be on call to run to the store. If your florist is running late, they are in charge of calling the company. This will keep you removed from most of the stressful situations, and keep you moving on schedule. Don't forget to give your friend a gift for helping you through any wedding day glitches! Arrive at the church with plenty of time to spare. Remember, you MIGHT tear up a bit, so have plenty of tissues handy as to not smear that gorgeous make-up.

Spend the last few minutes before the wedding starts with your bridesmaids. Do some deep breathing if you're nervous, and think about how long you have been awaiting this precious day.

For him:

It is perfectly normal for the groom to wake up a bit jittery on the morning of his wedding. The best way to handle the stress of this day is to make sure you have all your responsibilities completed ahead of time so you can spend this day in a stress-free zone. Things to double check the preceding week include travel plans for the honeymoon, transportation from church to reception and reception to airport, cost of anyone you will be paying on the actual wedding day (and remember to have plenty of extra cash for tipping- EVERYONE involved expects to be tipped at least 15%).

Sleep in. Having plenty of rest is important before the hours of socializing you'll be doing today. When you get up, a long jog or a trip to the gym is often just what you'll need to work off some of those anxious feelings. Allow plenty of time to get ready and arrive early at the church. Spend some time horsing around with your groomsmen. Take some deep breaths, and wait for your beautiful bride.

The A To Z Guide For Your Wedding Day

by: Declan Tobin

Attendants

Attendants, include the best man, Bridesmaid, ushers, and groomsmen. Generally any people with some sort of responsibility on the big day. How many attendants are up to you but you need to consider the size of the church and your budget for the outfits and gifts. You need to rely on these for some of the organization of the day so choose carefully, the last thing you need is someone irresponsible in charge of the “rings” or any important tasks your require.

Budget

Every wedding has a budget be it a no hold bar white wedding extravaganza or a low-key smaller affair both can be a beautiful fun day for everyone. There are many ways to cut the cost on the big day with out compromising on style and atmosphere. You can do a lot of the organizing yourself, friends and family are always there to help with things like the video camera and helping to drive guests from the ceremony to the after party.

Cake

This is another important feature; as the cake will appear in the "cutting of the cake" photograph another staple of the wedding album. The flowers and bridesmaids out fits will also influence the style and color of the cake you do not have to settle for fruitcake though as there are endless fillings to choose from, this can also double as desert if you are on a tight budget.

Dress

The dress is going to be the center of attention for the whole wedding. The perfect dress should make the bride feel and look beautiful. This is achieved by a well-fitted dress that is flattering to the figure. Most importantly the dress should be comfortable as you will be wearing it all day long through out dinner and also dancing the night away, if you spend the day pulling and adjusting your dress this could ruin your whole day. Remember a happy bride will look beautiful either way.

Entertainment

The entertainment you choose for the after ceremony party should vary depending on what type of weeding your going for, from the classical stringed quartet to the full on wedding band. Any professional entertainment will eat into your budget but whatever you choose make sure you go to see them play before your big day as you do want your guests to have a good time and not spend the evening cringing at a nightmare wedding singer.

Flowers

The bridesmaid’s outfits will set the trend for the colors of the flowers, so keep this in mind when choosing the color theme. These can range from the most flamboyant bouquet to the simplest white lilies. The most important being the bride’s bouquet as this will feature in most of the wedding photographs so don’t skimp on this.

Honeymoon

This will be the most extravagant holiday you ever had. Depending on what you can afford push the boat out and spoil yourself. Weather it be a five star in Mauritius or a Weekend in a five star hotel this is your quality time as man and wife and should be as comfortable and enjoyable as possible so don’t hold back.

Invitations

The Invitations are the first taste the guests will get of your wedding so they should reflect what type of wedding its going to be Formal/Informal. Don’t be afraid to be different this is your chance to be creative and making your own handmade cards is a nice touch and is also easy on the wallet.

Jewelry

You can go for diamante for that sparkly feel of pearl for the more understated bride, always remember whatever stones you choose the theme should run through out. Jewelry is also a nice thank you gift for the bridesmaids a nice matching necklaces for the brides to wear on the wedding day will go down well and you don’t have to break the bank. Another special touch if possible is personally designed wedding bands most jewelers will do this but be expected to pay a bit more.

Love

You have done the most important part of the wedding day and that is finding each other and falling in love. With out you two this day would not be happening, therefore it’s your special day to celebrate your love for each other. After the ceremony eat drink and be merry, enjoy the evening and have fun after all it will be both of you that will remember this day the most and you want to have loving happy memories with no stress. So let your hair down and dance the night away.

Marriage

There is also the legal aspects of marriage that are important as well as the spiritual, make sure you have all your legal requirements met and all your paper work in place well in advance of the wedding date, get all this out of the way first and this leaves plenty of time to concentrate on the more important enjoyable things.

Outdoor wedding

Oh what a wonderful day it would be, a beautiful sunny garden, a big white marquee adorned with lilies and trinkets, music, dancing all sounds beautiful. Hiring a marquee for the day is a really great idea if you live in a place were the weather permits. If not I wouldn’t take the chance as a mud ridden lawn with cold wet guests doesn’t sound as romantic. Also keep in mind the hiring of cutlery, crockery, heating, lights, toilets etc. all adds up.

Photography

The photographs are going to be the lasting feature of you big day so you want them to be as fabulous as possible. Take recommendations from friends and people who have recently got married, visit the photographer’s studio and view his work. All photographers have a different style of photography so discuss carefully what you want. Most photographers wont allow you to keep the negatives of the wedding pictures so make sure you have some relatives take a camera as the more photos you order from the photographer the more you pay.

Reception

Your reception venue will be dictated by where you live, the amount of guests you are having and the style of wedding you want. You have a choice of hotel, outdoor marquee or to be slightly different you can choose a stately home or castle. Or why not run away from it all to a romantic holiday island with close friends and family.

Skin

You will want beautiful silky skin to match your beautiful new gown on that special day, so start taking care of your skin a couple of months before hand with some deep cleansing and exfoliating facials. We tend to forget the rest of the body so keep that back, neck and chest area glowing with regular exfoliating body scrubs and lashings of body cream this will ensure that J lo glow on the big day. When the day arrives treat your self to your favorite scented body lotion and load on generously to keep you smelling good enough to eat all day long.

Undies

Your dress will more or less decide what undies you require. A silicon based stick on bra for the strapless brides will make any bosom defy gravity. Or a steamy lace all in one will slim down your waistline. The store where you bought your wedding dress can advise on the appropriate type of underwear for your dress. Remember go for what makes you look good in the dress you can always change into something a little more “uncomfortable” later on.

Vows

Writing your own vows is a good idea if you want to give the ceremony a little more of a personal feel. Don’t hide away from this as every ones a sucker for romance and it will add a certain intimacy to the ceremony. Don’t forget to run these vows by the officiate before the big day to make sure they are happy to include them in the proceedings.

Winning Smile

There will be lots of kisses and smiling photos on the day so your lips and smile must be in tiptop shape. Firstly make sure there is no sign of a flaky smile, the night before apply some petroleum jelly to the lips and gently rub with an old tooth brush this will leave smooth soft lips ready for your favorite shade of color. Also visiting the dentist a few weeks before and getting your teeth cleaned and polished is a necessity for a bling bling smile.

Yes

The whole wedding day is about two people saying yes. Yes to a lifetime partnership with each other, through the hard times as well as the good. Yes to loving each other through thick and thin. Yes is the most important word in the ceremony so savor the moment as it is upon this word the rest of your lives will be built.

Zzzzzz

Catching some Zzzzz the night before the wedding is essential. It is often tempting to have a few glasses of champagne to welcome the big day, but remember you have a long day ahead the following morning and bloodshot eyes in the photographs will linger on for ever. Have a warm relaxing bath with some lavender oils then go to bed Anyway you can always make up for it on your wedding night!
