Getting married is one of the most important parts of your life. It is a way to show that you are committed to the one you love and that you will stay with them for the rest of your life. Sounds easy doesn't it? Well there is an awful lot of planning that goes into a wedding (sometimes years!) and a lot of stress but it's all worth it when it comes to your big day.
Most women begin with the dress. The dress has to be glamorous, stylish and beautiful. Obviously different women prefer different dresses. Some like white while others like red. Some like traditional whereas others like modern. Wedding dresses do not come cheap so you want to make sure you have the one you love. Then comes the suits. The groom and his party (usually the father of the groom, best man and other male relatives) usually wear matching morning suits. There come accesorised with matching ties and waistcoats. After that you have the bridesmaid dresses. They have to match with the colour scheme of the wedding but shouldn't look better than the bride!
Once you've got everyone dressed it's time to sort out the venue. Some people like the idea of getting married in a church whereas others prefer a civil ceremony in a hotel or registry office. Whichever you choose don't forget the flowers.
Then comes the reception. This is the big party afterwards to celebrate your wedding. You may choose to have it at home or have a more fancy do. You will need to organise food and entertainment for a reception. Some people will have a sit down wedding breakfast, this entails making up a table plan too. Don't forget that some of your guests will have special food requirements too so be sure to check with them.
Of course you will need transportation to get to and from the wedding/reception. Most brides arrive in a limo but you can use a vintage car, motorbike or even horse drawn carriage. Then you need to get your guests from the wedding to the reception. A coach service would probably be the most cost effective way of this and you won't have people getting lost on the way! Then there is the bride and groom departure. This is not so important so feel free to use a friend’s car, VIP coach, or even a taxi.
Finally it's the honeymoon. The holiday after you get married. It should be romantic and be somewhere where you can enjoy each others company and not have to worry about anyone else.
Then there are all the other little things to organise too such as the invitations, flowers, gifts for your wedding party, favours, the cake, and the list goes on! But even though you will be stressing out that everything has to go right, don't forget to enjoy it! It's the biggest day of your life so take pleasure in your family and friends celebrating with you and have a great day.

How to plan the wedding
Marriages may be made in heaven, but without proper planning a wedding cannot be truly special. Every couple wants their wedding to be an event that is memorable for not just the bride and groom, but also for the guests. If you are planning a wedding and are wondering what you can do to make your wedding special, then here are a few tips to make your wedding truly special for everyone involved and not just the bride and groom.
Just like in business, the place of your wedding makes a lot of difference. There is nothing wrong with getting married in a church or cathedral, but the truth is that people have come to expect more than just a church wedding. If you are planning a church wedding then make sure the reception is special and truly memorable. However, if you do not want to get married in a church, then the next decision is choosing a wedding destination. There is no shortage of quality locales to get married in, if you are currently in Europe, then make sure that you consider Cyprus for your wedding destination. Contrary to popular belief, a Cyprus wedding is cheaper than most European cities, and people will remember your wedding for a long time to come. The biggest advantage of planning a wedding overseas is that it takes away a major chunk of the planning, and the newly weds as well as the guests can genuinely enjoy their vacation/wedding.
After the destination is finalised, the next thing to really work on is the wedding dress. Lets face it there is very little room for creativity when it comes to the grooms tux, however the brides wedding dress is without a doubt the centre piece of the wedding, and every single guest (including the groom) will take instant notice of the wedding dress. Remember just like the wedding budget, its not a good idea to get carried away when you are buying a wedding dress, at the end of the day the wedding dress is probably going to be worn just once.
Equally important to the weddings preparations is the wedding cake, the wedding cake is similar to the centrepiece of the wedding. Once the celebrations begin, the first thing everyone is looking forward to is the wedding cake. Traditionally a wedding cake is supposed to be white, this in no way means that the wedding cake has to be boring old vanilla flavour. Today there are a wide variety of flavours available when it comes to wedding cakes, and the truth is that it is eventually the couples choice that counts. As a couple if you dont want a white cake, dont worry it is no longer uncommon for people to have a wedding cake in chocolate and other colours. Remember at the end of the day it is a celebration of a couples union, and it pays to think out of the box. There is not such thing as a typical wedding and it is for a couple to decide if they want to follow traditions down to the last letter or not.
Wedding Planners
Wedding planners are a blessing in disguise for couples where both the bride and groom are working. Sometimes it becomes nearly impossible for a couple to take time out from their hectic schedule and plan every single detail of the wedding. For working couples, it is simpler to hire a wedding planner that can take care of all the planning. When it comes to wedding planners the biggest advantage is that all it takes is frequent supervision, and the wedding preparations are taken care of. However if a couple wants to be more involved in a wedding they can still go with a wedding planner but pay more attention to the finer details. Eventually it all comes down to how involved a couple wants to be when their wedding is being planned.

Do You Plan Your Wedding Well?
There is no doubt that you will need to face lots of pressure when you are planning a wedding. One you decide to marry, you need to prepare tremendous amount of items. These include the wedding venue, the wedding cake, the guest list and even small details such as the color of the wordings for the address printing on the wedding invitation envelope. However, it will not be as stressful as you think if you really plan everything well.
When you decide to marry, the very first thing you need to do is to settle the wedding day. It sounds very easy to do - just pick a day and set it as the wedding day. In fact it is not just picking a day. A few issues will be needed to consider.
First of all, the wedding day should be convenient to both the bride and the groom. And it will be better if it is a Saturday. It is because most guests will have holiday on Sundays, a wedding on a Saturday can let the guests to enjoy the wedding till very late at night.
Besides, the wedding day should not be crashing with public holidays or festivals. It may be very romantic for a couple to have their wedding on the Christmas night but it will cause problems indeed. A real case is that there was a couple who planned their wedding on one Christmas night. Many guests were not able to attend the wedding reception. Even some guests came to the wedding, they tended to leave the wedding very early. This will totally ruined all the effort of planning the wedding.
If the couple is in Hong Kong, they will need to take even more care about the wedding day. Traditionally no one will get marry in July of the Chinese calendar. This is because July is "the month of ghost and death" in the Chinese calendar. A wedding in this month will render bad fortune to both the couple and the guests. Besides July, couples should also avoid to have weddings on festivals such as the Chinese New Year, if they are in Hong Kong.
After the wedding date is settled, you will need to decide what kind of wedding you would like. A beaching wedding will be different from a wedding reception in a hotel. The choice can be very personal but you will need to plan it beforehand since it will affect your choice of other items for the wedding such as wedding gown.
If you go for the choice of beach wedding, you may want you and your guests to walk on the beach with their bare foot. You will need to inform the guests about that. Besides, since it is a beaching wedding, it will be held outdoor. You should not choose an ice-cream wedding cake since it can easily melt in an outdoor environment unless you are planning for a winter beach wedding, which is mostly not the case.
Furthermore, you will need to define you budget. You do not only need to define the total budget but also a breakdown of budgets for each item for the wedding. You should always ask the wedding vendors if the price will change when the specifications are different from what you originally ask for. This will help to prevent you from paying for something you do not plan to pay for. Some of the items you will need to decide the budget on are the food, booking of wedding venue, wedding photography, wedding invitation (and the postage of them), gown and dresses, wedding cake, hiring of wedding planner (if needed) and also honeymoon.
When the budget is concerned you should approach as many shops as possible to get an idea of the prices of every item. Certainly a wedding planner will charge you something but at the same time he or she can help you to save time and money on other items. There is always a trade-off among them.
It is not that difficult to have your dream wedding come true. If you plan everything well, you should be able to get a perfect wedding, as well as becoming the happiest couple in the world.

Wedding Plans: How do you choose the entertainment?
As with anything else, wedding entertainment is a minefield. There are thousands of Wedding DJ’s, Bands, magicians and Singers alike out there, waiting, eagerly to take your money for a service that could be either fantastic, or not so good. The key is this: THOROUGH RESEARCH!
With this particular product, you cannot always see exactly what you are buying until you have actually bought it. You can’t easily see the full product range as there are so many types out there. And when you’ve finally found something you like, can you have it? And will it be reliable enough to show for the biggest day of your life?
Here are a few simple measures you must take when researching and booking your wedding entertainment:
• Use the Internet - You will find some of the largest directories for entertainers this way. Browse various websites for Bands and Singers. Use various search methods and phrases such as “London Wedding Singer” or “Wedding entertainment in Liverpool”, paying attention to sponsored ads that highlight your chosen phrases.
• Take your pick! Once you’ve found something you like the look of you’ll want to find as much information on this service as you can, even before the contact stage. For example if it’s a band, do they have online demos? Images? Testimonials? You want to be at least semi-sure before you hand over your contact details. Narrow it down to say, your favourite 5 singers, before you start any contact.
• Obtain a quote and Availability - Money is always an issue for most of us! I wouldn’t want to spend half of my wedding budget on a band or singer, no matter how good they are, so I’d be on the look out for realistic pricing. You don’t want to book someone who is overly expensive, but you also don’t want to pay £200 for a singer who will tell you “yeah, I’ll sing for you and I’m also a DJ!” When you first contact the entertainer(s), you would first enquire about availability for the date in question, and then a price. Also how long will your entertainer perform for? Performance times can vary, though most singers and bands perform for 1 or 2 x 45 minute sets, depending upon their pricing structure.
• More information - If you can, get more information about their service. Can you visit them live? Do they have more demos? A repertoire? It is always good to meet with someone first, however, remember that this may not be possible for many entertainers who work solely in the private market.
• Book and Secure - This is the most crucial part. Most Bands and Singers will take a deposit or booking fee (anything up to 50% is normal), so you must be completely sure of your choice at this stage. It is always wise to obtain some sort of receipt and a contract of agreement. This way you can be 99% sure that they WILL be turning up on the day and if they don’t, you have the necessary means to be compensated in full.
By this stage you are well on your way to having an unforgettable and entertaining wedding. You can use the remaining time before your wedding day to liaise with the entertainer, making sure that they have all of your particulars and preferences.
Organising wedding entertainment can be stressful, but if you make the right choices early and are prepared to research and book in advance, you will save yourself and your partner at least one set of Wedding worries.

How to Plan Your Wedding and Honeymoon
by: Sidney Strachan
1. Weddings typically can cost you anywhere around $15,000 or more. The big question is: who foots the bill?
The 21st century has heralded a shift in the way these costs are handled. We have moved away from the days when the family of the bride would pay all costs associated with the wedding ceremony . Today it may come down to who can afford it or, who can qualify for the personal loan from the lending institution.
Weddings may, in most cases, be a one time special event deserving of all the pomp and pageantry associated with the memorable day. However, there are ways to cut costs and still maximize the moment. Careful planning and budgeting are key to getting the most out of this experience at a reduced cost.
What should go into a wedding plan? When is too much, too much?
There are many things which makes a wedding a wedding. The old adage, "Something New, Something used and something blue, is a reliable guide to save.
Knowing what you need and how much it cost compared to your allotted budget for each item is essential. Your check list should include: Bride Gown and accessories, Groom's wedding attire, wedding rings, flowers, wedding cake, wedding site, reception site, photography/video services, limousine, ceremony fees, decorations, licence, honeymoon/travel, music/entertainment services, invitations, wedding consulting fees, beverage/drinks and type of wedding.
Generally, all of these items should be carefully itemized and an actual cost should be obtained from the service providers. Your budget fro each service or product should be include to help guide you and/or your wedding consultants. From this list you can determine things like the size of your guest list, bridal party and reception, cake and amount you can actually allocate to each specific area.
A good example is: if you are purchasing a wedding gown and accessories which can easily run into $1,500 or more and your budget is $600, you can opt to rent a gown and accessory which typically at the high end is around $400.
Knowing where you would like to host your wedding and the type of wedding you want is also very essential. Many people typically choose a traditional wedding (religious). These can go into many different cultures i.e. African, Jewish, Islamic, Irish etc. Different types of weddings typically carry varying price tags depending on the culture and how complex the ceremony or extravagant it is.
Honeymoons can be a another costly expense. Honeymoons can extend from that drive to another state to the extended Bahamas vacation or Carribean cruise. Many companies are now incorporating wedding and honeymoon packages in their vacation packages. This has its upside and downside. Marriage laws also vary from country to country.
June typically is noted as the wedding month. So, expect costs to be higher. However travel this and hotel charges during this time of the year to many destinations including the Bahamas may be less expensive.
If you know your budget then it may be beneficial to allow a wedding consulting firm to handle the arrangements. Statistics show that couples are so tired and stressed after the wedding 705 do not have sex on the first night of the honeymoon.
Hiring wedding consultant doesn't mean you lose control of your ceremony. It just saves you the hassle and stress of coordinating and implementing each individual activity and duty.
Your honey moon can be like any other vacation as far as proper planning is concerned. In order to save money, you must know what you want to do? Where you want to go? What you want to see? Consult with travel consultants in the country or area you plan to visit. Research well. Your trip does not have to be robotic or mechanical, but it can be cost effective and well organized.
TIPS
Below are a few cost saving tips for your special day.
Trim your guest list
Reduce the number of attendance in your bridal party and reception
Budget your honeymoon well

Wedding Plans: Pick A Theme!
by: Luca Salamone
Trying something different!? Now this doesn’t have mean reciting your vows whilst free-falling at 120 mph.
The little touches can really make a difference. You don’t have to step to far from tradition to introduce some new exciting ideas. There are various themes available to suit all tastes, more than you think actually.
I’ve been to quite a few weddings and I must admit I breathe a sigh of relief whenever I see that the bride and groom have changed something and thought outside of the box.
Outlined are just a few of the themes you may want to consider for your wedding day. Just remember, you don’t have to subscribe religiously to every last detail. On the other hand you may come up with some of your own unique ideas.
MEDIEVAL WEDDING:
Knights, castles, cathedrals, Jousting and chivalry!
This theme can be as extreme as you like-well!?... It depends on the venue I suppose. It can be applied throughout the ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception.
Here are a few suggestions to help you in creating a medieval theme for your wedding day.
•Search for the right sort of venue. Places that have stained glass windows, suits of armour and medieval banqueting halls are your best choices. Some venues will completely cater for this style of wedding.
• Consider using lots of candles to light the venue. This would be especially nice during the ceremony – very romantic!
• If you are feeling adventurous try arriving on horseback, though you may want to skip this one if you’re accident prone.
• Send scrolled invitations to all your guests, sealed with wax and tied with ribbon.
• Have a medieval banquet. As long as your family and friends don’t mind eating with their hands and a dagger!
• If you want to go all out, hire a collection of medieval costumes-though you’ll have some explaining to do in years to come when showing your grandchildren the family photos.
• Hire a harpist for the ceremony and medieval banquet. Some venues will supply Jesters and singing wenches when you book their medieval banquet.
LAS VEGAS WEDDING:
Do you want the lights but not the 15 hour flight? Try this on for size! Turn your wedding reception into an all dancing, all singing city that never sleeps (Well not until the venues licence runs out anyway).
This is one theme to get excited about, especially if you like glitter and gambling!
Here are a few suggestions.
• Hire a fun casino. Ask them to set up a few tables for the evening reception. You can give your guests fun money to gamble with, and then award a prize to whoever wins the most at the end of the night.
• Use poker theme place card holders for the tables.
• Arrive in style! Pull up in a glitzy white limousine.
• Hire a singer to schmooze around and entertain your guests.
• Experiment with lighting, glitter, confetti and favours. There are a few websites out there that provide for the whole Las Vegas theme.
• Hire a cocktail waitress to serve snacks and large OTT cocktails.
WILD WEST WEDDING:
If you’d really like for your wedding to off with a bang, the Wild West theme is sure to do the trick. Planning a wedding can never be more fun when planning something such as this. It gives the blokes an excuse to carry around plastic guns, plus the dance floor is guaranteed to be packed all night long.
Here are a few suggestions –
• Firstly you must bring the West into your wedding. Think about marquees, barns, back gardens or any dry areas.
• Use hay bales for seating.
• Arrive by horse and carriage.
• Try incorporating western quotes into the ceremony.
• Experiment with old horse shoes.
• Be creative with the invitations. You may want to invite half as cowboys and half as Indians!?!
• Use named Sherriff’s badges instead of name place cards.
Here are just a few of the possible themes you can use for your wedding day, not including the:
• Romeo & Juliet wedding
• Scottish wedding
• Jungle wedding
• Hollywood wedding
• Biker wedding
..The list can go on and on. There are no rules so just have fun.
