Planning the perfect wedding doesn’t have to be too stressful as long as you get three things right – organization, delegation and communication. Wedding planning is quite stressful but if you have these three things right from the start then you will remove a lot of the stress involved. Organization Start being organized with your wedding planning by writing a list of everything that you will need for your special day. Your list will probably include a reception venue, church, cake, caterers, dress, tuxedo, wedding cars and a few other things. Then work out how much your total budget will be and when you have that total amount that you can spend on your wedding, then break it down between each thing on your list. It is very helpful to have a diary to keep a record of your plans and budget. There are actual wedding planners available for the store or you can just use a normal diary for recording your plans and expenses. It is advisable to keep all of your planning records in one diary to help make it easier to find things and less likely that you will miss anything. Communication It is just as important to keep good communication with anyone helping you organize the wedding and also with caterers, dress makers and other services that you are dealing with. Without communicating then those helping you will not know what is expected of them and as such will probably sit back and do nothing. Keep communications open and ask those involved to keep you informed of their progress at all times. Delegation As tempted as you may be to do all the planning yourself, you really should ask for help. I’m sure your sister, mother or best friend would love to give you a hand to help plan your wedding and if you do it all on your own it can become overwhelming and very stressful. Just make sure that when you do delegate that you keep a record of who is doing what task and keep a checklist of what is done and what is still to be done. By having these three things – organization, communication and delegation – then you will make your wedding planning less stressful and you can enjoy the planning as well as being confident that they day will go perfectly to plan.
