Say It With Wedding Decorations

So you’ve picked the venue. It’s now time to add the personal wedding decorations that will make your wedding reception unique and memorable.

Many venues will take care of decorating your reception as part of their service. If you go with this option, have a discussion with the venue organisers about the different decoration schemes they have on offer. They will be able to organise a viewing of key elements, such as table centrepieces, napery, chair adornments and cutlery. Conversely, you could contract the decorating responsibilities to a company or wedding planner that specialises in this area.

Floral touch
Having your reception area bedecked with fresh flower arrangements will always look great. A selection of your favourite blooms adorning the ceremony and reception area will add a touch of drama and romance.

Your floral scheme can include not only you and your bridesmaid’s bouquets, but also your table centrepieces, garlands for banisters and railings, and pew decorations.

Make sure you check with your florist what kind of flower varieties will be in season at the time of your wedding.

Keeping it simple:
In most function centres you will be able to work with their professional consultants to achieve your desired effect.

If you are taking the do-it-yourself approach, you might find that a few carefully placed embellishments are all you need to add a festive touch to your venue. Wedding table decorations can transform a room instantly.

Or, you could step it up a notch and create a theme for your wedding. Complement an ocean view with shades of blue and decorative seashells; if your favourite colour is purple you could order decorations in shades of mauve, violet and lilac.

Remember, designing the way your wedding will look is one of the joys of wedding planning. Choosing your colour and thematic scheme from the flowers to the bridesmaids’ dresses to the invitations is a great opportunity to give your creative streak free rein. After all, it’s your day and is a great opportunity for you to design a unique and personal setting.
