In a beach wedding, the bride and groom can take advantage of the romantic sunset, ocean breezes, emerald sea, soothing tides, white sands, beautiful sun, and tropical weather. It is no wonder why many couples like the beach wedding. Here are things to watch our in planning a beach wedding.
Study the weather pattern on the location. When you are planning your own wedding, the wedding is days, weeks, months, or years away. So, the weather is really hard to predict on the actual wedding date. In many tropical countries, the hurricane or typhoon season falls from June to November.
There should be a plan for an alternative in case of rain or unforeseen events. A tent or canopy may shields the guests in case of rain and protect the guests from too much sun. Like the rising tides, the high tides can occupy a large portion of the beach front.
The hotels, resorts, and private property may have beach front. In most places, the venue can handle indoor and outdoor wedding. Patio, deck, and windows with the beach front view will always be available as an alternative in times of rain and unforeseen events.
The beach chair sinks on the lovely white sands. The proper flooring will prevent the problem such as wood, parquet, and carpet. The parquet and carpet flooring is surprisingly affordable to rent. It is perfect for bride and groom who is planning a wedding on a small budget.
The hot summer days may be unbearable to some guests. Have a paper fan ready. If you notice, the paper fans are good wedding favors. Have a bottled water and ice bucket on each table. The guests will get the idea pretty quickly. The sunscreen may also alleviate the guests from the piercing sun rays.
The sands and water can easily get into linen, dresses, and clothes. Fortunately, some beach wedding dress can easily wash off the sands and resist the water. It is good to know as the beach wedding dress sets the tone of the wedding.
The wedding flowers that are readily available locally will save a few bucks. Naturally, the wedding flowers are wildly available. However, the wind may blow the flower petals that are thrown by the flower girl. The seashells are an alternative.
The summer is also the season for uninvited insects. The insects just like to invite themselves to the wedding. The bug spray, candle insect repellent, and screen will easily keeps the uninvited insects.
If the venue may need a toilet, the bride and groom may need to rent portable toilets. Toilets are easily overlooked as everybody assumes the availability of the toilets.
Take note of the restrictions on using the beach front such as closing times, number of guests, tolerable sound, trash policy, and camp bonfire. In some beach front, the bride and groom may need to secure a permit to use the beach front for the wedding.
The ocean breezes and tides may tend to dampen the sound quality. So, the bride and groom may need professional sound system. The guests will want to hear the wedding toasts, vows, and speeches.
